Description - This is a small, low-growing plant, leaves having 3-5 lobes, and usually appearing green. Insignificant flowers are produced in the leaf axils, and have no petals, and will need searching for.

Habitat - Found on bare earth, in arable fields and on paths.

Comments - Not an obvious member of the Rose family, this plant is quite common early in the year, after which it tends to dry up or be overcome by taller vegetation. The name Parsley-piert appears to come from "piercestone", probably due to the fact that it can push up through relatively hard, bare ground.
