Description - Flowers are pale lilac, small and papery, several in a loose flower-head at the top of slender , wiry stems, which grow up to 30cm. Leaves occur in a basal rosette, and are hairless with three unbranched veins, and narrow wings along the short leaf stalk.
Habitat - In small soil pockets and on gravelly patches on the cliffs, generally quite low down, and often rather inaccessible.
Comment - Spread all along the south cliffs, and also in Alderney and Jersey These are all considered to be a separate subspecies - ssp sarniense.
