Description - Pale lilac flowers with four petals, with a faint scent. Leaves and stems are coverered with a thick grey down. Seed pods are long and slightly curved, up to 12cm, the whole plant is up to 30cm in height.
Habitat - Found at the top of beaches in mobile sand dunes.
Comments - A very rare plant, a few plants only each year at two or three sites on the West coast. Threatened by the disappearance of sand-dunes, and disturbance by beach visitors. Also rare in mainland Britain
