Description - Flowers are palest pink, only one per stem, close up when not in full sun. Leaves are trifoliate and a yellow-green. The plant has small bulbils at the base of the leaves, which help it to spread, so that it can become something of a nuisance.

Habitat - Likes a certain degree of shade, so found on banks, and along path sides, usually on the edge of woodland. Thirty years ago it was mainly in the south of the island, but recently has spread to most areas.

Comments - Originally from South Africa, it was probably introduced as a garden plant, and is now widespread in the south of England.
