Q :-
"Why did I never receive Monitor 39?"
The answer is :-
Although most of the material had been prepared for both Monitor 39 and 40, when Penelope became too ill to continue there was no-one else in a position to take over. That situation has now changed, and there are now several people willing and able to revive the project. But the web site will come first. When all the material that was to have gone into those issues has been published on Monitor's Internet site ( http://www.monitor.org.uk ) a printed edition will be produced ONLY IF sufficient people want a copy to make a print-run financially viable.
Q :- " Am I still on the mailing list?"
The answer is :-
The Monitor mailing list does still exist, but it hasn't been updated since 1988! Eventually there will be a mail-out to everyone who was on the list, requesting address confirmation from those who still
want to be contacted by post. Anyone who has moved home since 1988 is invited to notify their change of address via
" snailmail@monitor.org.uk ".
Now a new mailing list is being assembled of e-mail addresses for the purpose of mailing information to our readers from time to time. As with the postal addresses, this list is for our own use only and will not be passed on to anyone else for any purpose whatsoever. Everyone who contacts us via e-mail will go onto this list unless they specifically request otherwise.
